Presenter: Hello and welcome to Nadia’s Podcast! Today we’re going to be looking at the new Spider-Man: Homecoming movie.

Cue Teaser Sound Bite (17 seconds)

Presenter: Later on we’re going to be joined by a special guest, but first up let’s talk a bit about the movie. So, this is the first Spider-Man movie to star Peter Parker at 15 years old, the youngest he’s been out of all the renditions so far. Whereas the other first two renditions glossed over most of Peter’s school life, this Peter, played by Tom Holland, is going to be facing the struggles of growing up and balancing his school and home life with discovering his identity as Spider-Man.

Presenter: Another thing different about this movie is that there will be no Harry Osborn, Peter’s best friend, Oscorp or even the Daily Bugle. Not to mention that Uncle Ben will not be making an appearance and has been described as ‘being alluded to at best’.

Presenter: The Movie was released in the UK on the 5^th of July and has thus far won 3 Teen Choice Awards: Choice Summer Movie, Choice Summer Movie Actor for Tom Holland and Actress for Zendaya who plays Michelle.

Presenter: Moving on, earlier I went out and talked to some people about their opinion on the new Spider-Man movie, so we’re going to go ahead and play some of those interviews for you now.

Presenter: Now with me in the studio, I have Rob our special guest to talk about the movie with. Welcome, Rob.

Presenter: So, I have a few questions for you to give your opinion on. Firstly, what did you think of Tom Holland’s performance? Was it true to the character? And how do you think it compares to previous performances?      

(Rob answers)

Presenter: What do you think of the movie focusing on Peter during his high-school years instead of glossing over it as previous movies have done? Do you have any expectations or questions about how they’re going to handle that?

(Rob answers)

Presenter: What was your opinion on the plot? Did you think it was weak or strong? How could it have been better?   

(Rob answers)

Presenter: So, the bad guy within the film is the Vulture and it’s shown that he is able to do what he does because of the repercussions of the Avengers’ actions. I wanted to get your thoughts on them incorporating those repercussions into the movie and how the Vulture differs from previous marvel villains.

(Rob answers)

Presenter: Finally, there has been confirmation of a sequel. What expectations do you have for that or is there anything you wish to see happen?
